Hello! I'm Walt, the backend developer behind the forge. Based in central Arkansas, my journey into technology was sparked by a fascination with the intricate mechanics that power our digital world. I'm driven by the challenge of transforming complex requirements into efficient, scalable, and reliable server-side systems. Like a blacksmith shaping metal, I continuously beat on the keyboard until my code is a work of art! In all reality though, this is the only domain I could think of and went with it.
I believe in continuous learning and applying foundational computer science principles to build software that not only works, but endures. When I'm not at the digital anvil, I enjoy working on my car (without a hammer), playing games, and cooking!
